…A bit of both, one is tempted to say, as the mere 400 seats for the intense Ringside Only Show will be tightly packed with investors, sponsors, and curious competitors—both for the fighters and the businesspeople. So “Pleasure” is guaranteed in the sports section, and if you can tear yourself away from the festivities long enough to talk business in the lobby, you are of course more than welcome to do so.

The Nordic region’s largest mixed combat sports event will once again take over Scandic Hotel Sluseholmen on May 31st. Once again, the fights will feature top-level athletes, including Scandinavian Muay Thai champion Mehmet Akin and knockout king Marcus Ulsing. In kickboxing (K1), we present Younes Sadi, who, after a couple of unfortunate opponent cancellations, is finally ready to be thrown to the lions in this intense fight show. Olympic Boxing is also on the program, which was a major and very successful innovation at the last event. On the last day of May, the lineup includes some of the most exciting boxers the country has to offer—including a comeback by the powerhouse Michelle Eriksen.

The new setup at the hotel allows for more spectators at UNITE 08, and the atmosphere will therefore be even more intense. Almost everyone is seated right next to the ring, where titles and honor are on the line among the best fighters out there.
